The primary responsibility of the US Financial Controller is to oversee the USaccounting and reporting operations to ensure the integrity of financial information and reports, and to ensure the safeguarding of the Company’s assets.
Key Responsibilities:
· Preparing and analyzing the Company’s financial statements. These include quarterly and annual statements prepared and presented on a GAAP and Statutory basis.
· Preparing internal monthly management reports and analyzing actual results to plan.
· Assisting in the preparation of the Company’s annual financial plan.
· Ensuring appropriate internal controls are in place and being adhered to so as to ensure the integrity of financial information and the safeguarding of the Company’s assets.
· Establishing and communicating the Company’s accounting and reporting policies and procedures.
· Determining the impact of new accounting developments on the Company, and developing and executing a plan to adopt new standards.
· Maintaining the Company’s general ledger, assessing technology utilization in the financial processes and developing annual plans for developments on key application systems.
· Managing the day-to-day relationship with external and internal auditors. Assessing audit issues, communicating appropriately with senior management, and resolving key recommendations.
· Managing the day-to-day relationship with external tax advisors
· Directing staff including training, career development, performance objectives and evaluation, recruitment and staff retention.
· Liaise with parent company finance staff. Assist in coordination of global projects and provide suggestions for improvements in global finance operations.
· Manage treasury function ensuring timely investment of cash balances in applicable investment vehicles.
· Development of new products and initiatives including interfaces with Finance and the creation of a financial model for use in evaluating potential new initiatives.
· Liaise with claims department personnel regarding claims payment processing and case reserving.

Pay: $140,000.00 – $165,000.00 per year
