Thirty-One Gifts is currently recruiting for an accomplished accounting and finance leader to oversee the financial and operational processes for the organization. The Director, Finance and Accounting role will ensure the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy and timeliness of the company’s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with GAAP.

The Director, Finance and Accounting will serve as a key member of the finance management team, contributing to all operational and financial matters maximizing profits and growth in the business. Oversight of accounting, finance, tax, and payroll functions.

This position will be at our new corporate offices at Easton Town Center in the heart of Columbus, Ohio or in our offices in Flower Mound, Texas.

• Responsible for maintaining accurate financial results and change in financial position in accordance with US GAAP standards
• Analyzes and evaluates business processes and recommends actions to streamline processes, improve operational efficiencies, and identify opportunities for reducing operational costs.
• Oversight of KPI and metric reporting for the organization.
• Coordinates internal reporting to ensure consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting to achieve desired business outcomes.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Builds and maintains relationships by collaborating across business units and departments to foster trust, commitment, accountability and results.
• Directs the execution of all transactional and operational financial planning and analysis activities, including budgeting and forecasting, market trend research and analysis, cash planning and management, strategic planning, and executive reporting
• Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
• Oversees the general ledger and accounts payable functions and leads and directs all budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Manages the applicable financial accounting documentation and supporting procedures and ensures accounting policies are up to date.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance.
• Master’s degree and/or Certified Public Accountant preferred.
• 8- 10+ years’ progressive experience in accounting and finance. Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and lead employees at various stages of their career.
• Highly experienced with Excel and working with highly complex data, and an understanding of data modeling and analysis. Experience with Data Visualization (MicroStrategy, Tableau, Power BI) a plus.
• Business Transformation experience a plus.
