Job Purpose: The Pharmacy Operations Manager will be responsible for a key pharmacy account, which includes overseeing the daily operations and ensuring efficient and effective functioning of all operational aspects. This individual will manage ongoing client relationships, tracking client inquiries, responding efficiently to client needs, and ensuring overall client satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide oversight, guidance, support, and leadership to the pharmacy operations team.
• Maintain regular and timely contact with clients, client representatives, and other internal members of the account team regarding ongoing pharmacy operations.
• Serves as the initial point of contact for all day-to-day operational inquiries, either from clients directly or from internal team members on behalf of the client, which may include initiatives in pharmaceutical processing, pharmacy benefit administration, data files, and other related PBM services.
• Participate in onboarding and post implementation communication with pharmacies to ensure integration of adjudication meets expectations.
• Create, test, and implement billing plans for pharmacy adjudication.
• Interpret contractual agreements to input pricing rates and exceptions with precision.
• Respond to and resolve pharmacy support inquiries, from incoming phone calls or emails during and after hours as assigned.
• Coordinate with internal and external resources for accurate plan formatting.
• Follow detailed project plans to track progress and complete tasks on time.
• Participate in developing strategies to improve existing operational processes.
• Assist with the documentation process that is used for training and defining expectations.
• Assist leaders in instilling preservation of quality standards.
• Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
• Maintain a productive and professional operations environment by following directions, policies, and procedures.
• Identifying resolutions or appropriate escalation of PBM client service issues in conjunction with operations (claims, service, and systems).
• Schedule routine meetings to ensure client satisfaction/anticipate any changes

Location

• This is a flex workplace position.
• Based on proximity to our Bountiful, Utah office, expected in-office workdays may vary between 1-2 days per week depending on current projects and deadlines.
• Open to remote working arrangements.

Qualification Requirements:

• Previous experience in the long-term care pharmacy space; pharmacy technician, billing or PBM plan design experience preferred, but not required
• Subject matter expert in the claim adjudication process
• Recognition of PHI & HIPAA guidelines
• Demonstrated time management skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize competing priorities, with an in-depth understanding of impact to the customer and internal organization
• Exceptional organization skills with an attention to detail
