About the role

We are seeking an experienced Recruitment Officer to join the team at Thiess’ head office in South Brisbane.

Reporting to the Recruitment Manager, you will assist with the coordination and administration of a blue collar recruitment portfolio. Joining a high performing team, you will provide support across various projects within our Queensland business. This position will be offered as a 12 month fixed term contract.

Some of your duties will include:
Managing end to end recruitment of blue collar positions

System management in our recruitment platform – creating positions, advertising and offer generation.

Coordination of the pre-employment processes i.e. reference checks and medical bookings.

Involvement in bulk recruitment assessment centres

Taking ownership of weekly and monthly reporting

About you

This role will best suit a well-versed recruitment officer who can work effectively in a fast paced environment. You will need to be proactive, show initiative and be confident at building relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the business.

Other skills and experience that will see you succeed in this role include:

Previous experience as a blue collar recruiter, working with high-volumes

Extensive experience working with recruitment systems

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Excellent relationship building capability

The ability to work autonomously
