About the Role

You will work as part of the wider Group Finance team to help the business through the monthly and yearly reporting cycle and various projects, including but not limited to:

• Assisting in management and statutory reporting tasks,
• Assisting in preparing divisional and group consolidations,
• Reviewing a selection of balance sheet accounts that are owned by the wider group team and being responsible for reconciliation to supporting documentation,
• Preparation and posting of periodic or ad hoc journals, and responsibilities for maintaining schedules for key balance sheet accounts,
• Supporting the wider business in the preparation and production of various ad hoc financial reporting and analysis,
• Working on technical accounting and reporting side of the business.

Role Requirements

• Understanding the principles of accounting and auditing, demonstrating a keen eye for detail,
• Excellent reporting skills and being able to summarise the work performed in a simple and presentable way,
• Comfortable in using systems for posting journals or extracting data,
• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel,
• Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or close to completion,
• Experience working within a fast-paced environment,
• Planning and organisational skills with proven ability to meet deadlines,
• A proactive approach to channel reconciliation, acting quickly on risks,
• A confident mindset, comfortable in dealing with a wide range of key stakeholders.
