Location/ Division Specific Information

The Manufacturing Engineer is part of the Biosciences Division (BID), a thriving business with 4,000+ employees across the globe. Our team serves 480,000 customers with 70,000 products in 180 countries. The position is onsite and based out of Carlsbad, California.

What will you do?

• Design, build and install parts and equipment for reagents manufacturing and next generation sequencing machines.
• Production support and troubleshooting. Automated lines for filling, capping, sealing, conveyance systems, packaging, labeling, vision systems, barcode scanners and many more.
• Part of continuous development of our production technology
• Execution of improvements of machines to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Equipment validation support in collaboration with internal colleagues in manufacturing Engineering and production.

How will you get here?

Education:

• Minimum required education: Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering

Experience:

• 3+ years of technical background and experience required (preferably from the biotechnology industry)
• Mechanical troubleshooting and automation skills required
• Proficiency in SolidWorks required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge about ISO9001
• Good project and team member management skills
• Fluency in written and spoken in English

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $91,000 – $145,000.
