TheraCare is seeking dynamic Special Education Teachers for a comprehensive and rewarding experience to provide home and daycare based behavior management services in New York City, either in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens or Staten Island.

In this role, the Special Education Teacher will provide treatment utilizing the principals of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for children diagnosed with Autism and other developmental delays in a variety of settings. Work with families and a team of other service providers to help achieve a child’s IFSP or IEP goals.

Candidates do not need experience in ABA, TheraCare will provide training.

Qualified candidates will possess ONE of the following:

NYS Permanent Certification in Special Education

NYS Initial or Professional Certification in Students with Disabilities, Birth to 2nd Grade

NYS Permanent Certification as a TSHH

NYS Initial or Professional Certification as a TSLD or expected licensure

Graduate Students expecting NYS Certification within 6 months welcomed
