Theory Hiring for Front Desk Associate at New York City Metropolitan Area Full Time

This Front Desk Associate role will be the first point of contact for all internal staff and external visitors and will support the enforcement of established security protocols and procedures in order to create a safe and secure environment. In this role, you will also have outstanding communication and customer service skills. The duties of this role will include but is not limited to:

Responsibilities

• Provide a luxury experience by greeting all staff and visitors with a positive and effective approach, guiding them as needed in and throughout the corporate office
• Maintain workplace security by issuing, checking, and collecting ID badges, as well as maintaining visitor logs in accordance with our security standards
• Assist in the planning and coordination of in-house events and activities, liaising with Human Resources as appropriate
• Proactively address concerns with confidence and know when to escalate and partner with HR and/or upper management for support and relevant guidance
• Answer the phone promptly, courteously, and following the Theory and Fast Retailing standards
• Respond to all written communication in a timely and professional manner
• Manage the flow of messenger drop-offs and pick-ups
• Perform ad-hoc administrative duties

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience working in a retail or corporate environment or prior related experience as a receptionist or office support
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred in a Fashion, Retail, or related field
• Knowledge of front-of-house operations
• Strong communication and active listening skills – the ability to effectively deliver accurate messaging to team and guests, be able to handle guests’ requests
• Excellent problem-solving skills, able to use initiative to drive results
• Knowledge and enthusiasm for luxury fashion/retail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite with a focus on Microsoft Excel
• Flexible schedule – evenings and weekends as required by the business
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Detail oriented
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to move, pull, carry, or lift at least 20 pounds
• Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch, and climb as required
• High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and dealing with professionals inside and outside the company

Salary range: $21/hr -23/hr*
