Theoria Medical Hiring for Director of Human Resources Job at Remote Full Time

Essential job functions:
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for developing a framework for Theoria Medical’s HR department. This role will be in a leadership position, and will oversee other HR professionals in the organization. This role will work closely with Theoria Medical’s executive leadership team in the development and administration of the HR program. Essential functions include the following:

• Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
• Develops and instills an organizational culture.
• Develops relevant HR data parameters for the organization to monitor employee efficiency, engagement, productivity and retention.
• Strong focus on employee retention and engagement.
• Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
• Develops, manages, and oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
• Works closely with Theoria Medical’s legal counsel to design programs and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
• Provides support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
• Prepares new hire packets and coordinates the processing of all new hires for employment including reference and background checks, and onboarding, including coordinating the scheduling of initial training.
• Collaborates with the Theoria Medical Talent Acquisition/Recruitment team to review onboarding feedback for Quality Improvement purposes.
• Completes special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources or related area.
• Must possess at least 5 years of relevant Human Resources and Management work experience. Experience working in a Human/Social Services or Healthcare setting required
• Professional Certification in Human Resources preferred (PHR/SPHR).
• Excellent organizational and project planning skills with the ability to work on several projects simultaneously, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines.
• Must possess strong familiarity with HRIS systems, crystal reporting, and report writing.
• Computer literacy and competency with Microsoft Office Professional package including demonstrated proficiency in Access, Excel and Word.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong team orientation with the ability to work collaboratively with professionals at various levels with the organization and with diverse populations.
• Familiarity with Federal, State and Local laws pertaining to Human Resource and Payroll activities.

Compensation and benefits:

• Salary: $75,000-$120,000 per year, DOE.
