TheDriveGroup Hiring for Data Engineer at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Full Time

A leading team of Financial Services specialists is looking to capitalise on a strong FY by expanding their Data team as they continue to build out their product suite!

After an internal promotion, the team is seeking a Data Engineer who is looking to grow there. career. You will have the opportunity to work on projects centred around re-developing data infrastructure, with the long-term view to incorporate Machine Learning.

What you will be doing

• Developing your skillset through expert guidance
• Data extraction and transformation ready for ingestion into customised models
• Implementing and supporting ETL
• Provide Data Engineering-focussed advisory and consulting services to clients
• Working with various business and technical teams to interpret data and resolve data issues
• Building and optimising SQL queries for various projects
• Identifying data quality issues and designing suitable remediation strategies

What you bring to the role

• 3+ years of commercial Data Engineering experience, ideally within an Azure cloud environment
• Understanding of Data Engineering concepts, including ETL and DWH
• Proven experience using DBT and Snowflake
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and client management skills
• Extensive SQL knowledge and experience
• Experience implementing and supporting ETL
