Job Overview
TWG is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and financial statements activities. The position is responsible for the senior level oversight of billings of various types of contracts, accounts receivable collections and analysis, financial reconciliation of unbilled balances, General Ledger maintenance, and executing month-end close process. This individual will work closely with the company leadership and Program Management Team to ensure accuracy of contract setup, invoices, and revenue recognition with a high level of customer service.
Essential Job Functions Include:
l Performing, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary
l Maintaining General Ledger, ensuring accuracy of all GL reconciliations, and assisting with month-end closing including financial statement consolidations;
l Produce Budget vs Actuals analysis.
l Manage Accounts Payable – Duties include ensuring accurate entry, timely payment, and compliance with company policies
l Manage Accounts Receivable – Duties include invoicing, collections, reviewing contracts
l Preparing cost accounting reports
l Preparing and filing corporate taxes
l Assist with financial modeling and forecasting
l Process on-boarding, payroll and terminations
l Creation and oversight of internal accounting system & operational procedures, including (if needed) recommendation and purchase of accounting software
l Other duties as needed/assigned
Basic Qualification:
l Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
l Solid understanding of US GAAP
l Experience with QuickBooks accounting/financial software tool
l Prior experience supporting audit engagements.
l Advanced Excel skills
l Experience with improvement of processes and SOP documentation.
l High levels of ethics, integrity, and judgment
l Analytical/problem solving – ability to resolve problems in a timely manner.
