The Data Solutions & Platforms team is responsible for developing data & analytics solutions for business groups across the enterprise. We are a collaborative engineering team who enjoy delivering innovative solutions to sophisticated business challenges. Examples of platforms and services we are responsible for include: data integration hub, data warehouses, BI tools, data science tools, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and other automation tools.

This Staff Software Engineer – Data Integration role will have the following responsibilities:

• Act as the lead engineer for Disney’s data integration and ETL software platforms

• Developing highly-scalable, flexible, cost-effective and secure enterprise data solutions

• Being a subject-matter resource on all things data engineering and data integration

• Drive timely and on-scope solutions, understanding the needs of our business groups and partners to ensure requirements are successfully met

Needed Skills & Experiences

• Proven expertise within data integration and ETL development

• Expertise in software development, including fluency in SQL, Java, and/or Python

• Expertise in data engineering delivery patterns via HTTPS, SFTP, and API paradigms (ex. REST, GraphQL)

• Experience with cloud development (preferably within AWS & GCP)

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related; or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in California is $149,240 to $200,200 per year and in Washington State is $156,292 to $209,660 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
