The Virtual CFO Group Australia Hiring for Financial Controller at Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Full Time

Virtual CFO Group Australia specializes in offering virtual CFO services to SMEs across Australia. We are committed to providing expert financial guidance and support to help businesses thrive. Currently, we are seeking an experienced Financial Controller who values work-life balance to join our team on a part-time basis, working 3 days a week (or equivalent).

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, and financial ing.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Monitor and assess financial performance against KPIs and benchmarks, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Interface with clients to understand their financial needs and requirements, and ensure timely delivery of services.
• Coordinate the workflow of the Financial Accountants and bookkeeping teams to ensure deadlines are met.
• Serve as an extension of the firm’s two CFOs, conducting reviews on P&Ls, balance sheet reconciliations, and other financial documents.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CA or equivalent certification preferred.

Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role in the SME sector.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.

Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards.
