The Opportunity:

Reporting to Production Senior Manager, Planning & Scheduling, the Demand Planner will work closely with the Business Development and Sales teams to gather and analyze sales and marketing data to build a reliable forecast for future product demands.

As a Demand Planner you will:

• Develop demand forecast based on industry trends and changing demand patterns for all products & sales channels, taking into account additional information that may impact demand (i.e. sales promotions, increased retail footprint, seasonality, etc.)
• Work closely with Master Scheduler to help drive supply plan to reconcile against the demand forecast for all sales channels
• Support Product Commercialization team with new product launches
• Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities
• Propose and implement solutions & tools to improve demand forecast accuracy
• Support the continued integration of the demand planning processes into Business Central (ERP)
• Maintain regular contact with Sales & Business Development teams in order to understand changing customer needs
• Identify opportunities to meet customer demands during constrained supply (i.e. allocation)
• Key Stakeholder in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to develop, maintain, and present the holistic demand forecast for all sales channels (Adult Recreation (B2C), Co-Manufacturing (B2B), & Bulk Sales (B2B)
• Drives and obtains consensus between Sales Planning and Supply Planning in ongoing S&OP engagements, in order to develop constrained Demand Plan for all Channels

As a Demand Planner you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain or other relevant fields
• A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position in a manufacturing environment
• Supply Chain accreditation (CPIM, CSCP, SCMP) considered an asset
• Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
• High level of proficiency in MS Excel & Office Suite
• Experience with ERP Software (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft NAV/Business Central Dynamics)
• Strong analytical, mathematical and statistical knowledge
• Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
