The Upward Bound School (TUBS) is a Non Public Agency that partners with schools in order to offer a range of special education services to students both in person and virtually.

TUBS is currently seeking an in person office assistant who is familiar with & would be responsible for the following:

• Transcribing verbal directions and notes
• Google Applications
• Managing Google Calendar events
• Organizing Work Drive
• Keep company google website updated
• Manage School/Client Google Forms & Responses
• Create or Update Google Documents, Sheets and Slides
• Write and respond to emails
• Make & Answer phone calls
• Manage Google Contacts
• Manage company To Do List
• Documents notes from phone calls and meeting
• Update documents with corresponding information such as dates and other data

Other Responsibilities may include but are not limited to

• Looking up educational topics for lessons
• Entering logs of hours for credentialed staff of services provided
• reviewing billing entries
• Reviewing hour entires
• Filing documents into files
• Accounting/record keeping of receipts in physical and virtual copy.

Required Qualifications:

1. BA or BS Required with a 3.0 or above in the field of education, behavior, psychology, or related content

2. Clear background check/livescan with the DOJ and FBI

3. Reliable Wifi Connection

4. California Driver’s License

5. Bilingual Spanish Required

Required Experience:

• 2 years of educational office assistant and/or classroom experience

Preferred Experience:

• teacher’s assistant

Employment Options

Full Time

Monday – Friday

8:00am to 5:00pm (1 hour lunch and two 15 minute breaks)

Prior to a person being considered a good fit for the position, the person will need to pass a trial period.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 – $20.00 per hour
