The Institute for Teaching and Learning Innovation (ITaLI) is taking a leading role in teaching and learning, professional education and innovation. ITaLI is an integrated teaching, research and service delivery centre for teaching and learning practices at UQ. ITaLI seeks to establish and maintain a flexible operating structure to drive and support innovation and excellence for these activities.

Under the Leadership of the Director, ITaLI, the institute provides leadership, engagement and advocacy in educational innovation, teaching excellence and learning analytics, and aims to transform teaching and learning across the University through the delivery of faculty and executive prioritised, teaching and learning projects and services. ITaLI addresses critical areas of unmet need in teaching and learning by bridging the gap between the exponentially-expanding discipline of higher education teaching and the increasing complexity of teaching to assist University teaching staff and improve the learning experience of students.

About This Opportunity

You will join and be part of the Media Production team within the Course Design and Development (CDD) group of ITaLI and be responsible for supporting the collection, post-production and editing of educational assets designed for UQ courses of study.

This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. Bound by the Brisbane River on three sides, and with outstanding public transport connections, our 114-hectare site provides a perfect work environment – you can enjoy the best of both worlds: a vibrant campus with the tradition of an established university.

Our Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this position, you will have sound knowledge of educational video production, planning and direction in both a studio and field setting, including equipment maintenance, and have demonstrated experience in digital media editing, and post-production workflow management in a documentary or training environment.

You will have extensive experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, in particular Premiere Pro CC and sound knowledge of Windows and Mac computer operating systems, with a focus on OSX.

You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time, fixed-term position until 1 September 2022 at HEW Level 5.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $70,796 – $78,852 per annum, plus super of 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $82,832 – $92,257.
