About us
The Finance Office plays an integral role in the success of the University ensuring responsible stewardship through financial performance and strategic procurement, with a view to financial sustainability and growth
Your role
Reporting to the Manager – Commercial Finance, you will be a key member of the finance team with responsibility for complex financial modelling, as well as interpreting and analysing data to provide support to the University and key decision-making.
As the Senior Finance Analyst, you will:

• Develop both simple and complex financial models and provide analysis to support the decision making process of key stakeholders,
• Provide financial modelling support to business case feasibility submissions, including preparation of financial analysis, discounted cash flow analysis, net present value and internal rate of return calculations.
• Prepare presentations to support analysis and modelling, and data visualisation dashboards to enhance understanding of information presented.
• Assist with developing and maintaining the University’s financial forecasting models, including the mechanics of the models and scenario analysis.
• Develop and maintain strong effective working relationships with key management personnel and internal client base.
• Provide support and mentoring to the Analyst and provide training to end users as required.
• Design and implement methods of documenting models in a manner that can be transferred to stakeholders and understood by employees throughout the University.
• Liaise with external commercial partners, review contracts and liaise with the Legal team to ensure commercial risks are addressed.

About you
As a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, you will have extensive experience in a similar role supported by strong analytical and problem solving capabilities with high attention to detail.
To be successful, you will also have:

• CA/CPA level qualifications or equivalent
• Significant experience in financial reporting and forecasting, utilising complex accounting systems, various data sets, and reporting and analysis tools
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, with the ability to influence outcomes both internally and externally.
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining of financial models and analysing data to support decision-making.
• Proven experience in data visualisation and customising the presentation of data relevant to the audience.
• Proven experience driving and implementing continuous improvements to deliver service excellence and quality outcomes.
• Excellent conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems and business requirements.
• Supportive of the Objects of Notre Dame as a Catholic University.
