AMBS is now seeking a Vice-Dean and Head of a School to succeed Professor Fiona Devine. This is a strategically critical role in pursuit of the Our Future strategic plan at both a Faculty and School level. The successful candidate will provide the academic leadership and management to ensure the School and Faculty make a full contribution towards the objectives of the University. In addition to setting the agenda for AMBS in terms of teaching and learning, research and knowledge transfer, the new Head will be expected to promote cross-School and Faculty interdisciplinary working, enhance the reputation of the School, attract significant funding, and support the delivery of major institutional change projects. A proven successful track record in an academic management and leadership role is a requirement, as is a rounded understanding of managing financial and human resources. Previous experience as a Head of Department or School (or an equivalent academic unit) would be an advantage.
