Let’s talk purple squirrels, would you know how to find one?
If the answer is yes, you have found your next challenge
As a Talent Acquisition Coordinator, you’ll work with hiring managers to ensure they have a diverse pool of talented and qualified candidates.
You’ll collaborate as we devise and implement sourcing strategies, using employer branding initiatives, which are designed for long-term success in the sector by building pipelines through innovative processes like including sourcing candidates on social media networks and niche platforms, social media interviews and utilise online application methods such as LinkedIn profile views. All this ensures the most appropriate applicants come into play.
In conjunction with key stakeholders, typically the hiring manager and the Business Partner, you’ll be responsible for determining selection criteria and other vital information about hiring new employees. The Coordinator will liaise with hiring managers and People & OD Operations team colleagues to ensure a smooth transition from candidate to new employee.
Ultimately, you will create strong avenues for the University’s current and future talent.
What success looks like
To be a successful Talent Acquisition Coordinator, you must first understand the requirements for each role you are assigned to resource in the University.
You’ll be able to develop long-term recruiting strategies and nurture trusting relationships with potential new hires by conducting screening interviews to gauge interest, personality and salary requirements.
You should also keep up to date with sector and market trends (including but not limited to IT, Technology, Finance, HR, facilities and Estates) to ensure that the knowledge you share with hiring managers is timely and accurate.
Don’t quite meet the criteria, we still welcome a chat.
If you have a sourcing background and are tenacious and willing to learn, we may be able to help you acquire the rest of the knowledge.
As an equal opportunities employer we welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of age, sex, gender (or gender identity), ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and transgender status. All appointments are made on merit.
