The University of Manchester are looking to appoint a Finance Officer to join the Faculty of Science and Engineering Finance team

You will be a member of the faculty financial reporting team working under the guidance of a Senior Finance Officer.

Your role will include assisting with the production of financial reports and month end activities (calculation of deferrals and accruals, preparing and inputting journals onto the accounting system, reconciliations etc), analysis of variances to budget, inputting into future forecasts and longer-term financial plans and providing finance support to budget holders within the Faculty Office. This post has particular focus on providing financial support to Postgraduate Research Programmes, both internally and externally funded via Research Councils.

You will be customer focused, flexible in your approach, and work in conjunction with other finance colleagues, covering for and relating with them to develop and enhance your role and the service delivered by the Directorate of Finance.
