Pivotal leadership role responsible for the provision of exceptional financial services.

The Finance Manager is a pivotal thought leadership role and is responsible for driving the provision of exceptional financial services to the University’s Divisions and Faculties. This role will partner with University Executives and Academic Leaders to provide a high quality financial strategic advisory to support business planning, investment decisions, preparation of budgets and forecasts, performance monitoring & analysis, financial modelling and business case development. This role is the single point for supporting financial performance monitoring for financial planning and financial decision making for the Faculty and Divisions of the University.

The role will ensure alignment with University strategy and policy and will represent the Faculty and Division in University wide financial matters within their field of expertise. It is responsible for ensuring all relevant compliance requirements are met and for identifying continuous improvement opportunities that enable a shift towards best practice.

To be successful you will need:

• Extensive knowledge of financial and management accounting practices and processes.
• Extensive experience in the provision of high quality financial & management accounting services.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to and influence key stakeholders in a large complex organisation.
• Demonstrated commitment to a customer service culture and business partnering for financial decision making.
• CPA or CA qualified is desirable.
