As a key member of Travelers job architecture modernization team, you will serve as a consultant to HR and business partners on job description content development and communications strategy.

Leveraging your writing skillset, you will be responsible for developing compelling job description content, annual compensation communications, and compensation materials and resources that align to our philosophy.

• Lead the job description copy development process from content creation through various review phases of job family evaluations. Ensure job descriptions have a marketing focus and are written with a consistent voice across job functions and families.
• Consult on communication strategies and write, edit, proofread and coordinate communication materials for managers and employees impacted by the implementation of new and updated job families.
• Ensure job descriptions accurately reflect the work done by incumbents and target ideal candidates through strong partnerships with other HR functional areas, including Talent Acquisition, Compensation, HR Generalists and Business Partners.
• Conduct search engine optimization (SEO) assessments and develop recommendations to ensure job description language is engaging and attractive to ideal job candidates.
• Partner with Employee Relations and Legal to ensure job descriptions meet all legal requirements.
• Participate and may lead ad hoc ongoing projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Typically 2-4 years of experience in communications or a related field.
• Working knowledge of communication concepts.
• Working knowledge of appropriate methods and techniques for communicating with multiple audiences.
• Excellent copywriting and editing skills with focus on readability, grammar and consistent style.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to consult on projects and present information effectively.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through to ensure timely completion.

• Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, PR, communications, writing, business or a related field.
• One year of experience in a writing or communications focused role.
