*Position Description*
The Payroll and Invoicing Specialist offers various support services to billing and payroll departments. His position is responsible for accurate and speedy processing of all billing and payroll invoices. The Payroll and Invoicing Specialist is responsible for accuracy and meticulousness in performing tasks. This position maintains payroll for specified crews and processes invoices to customers.
Responsibilities: Duties Include
Essential Functions:

• Follows established guidelines, policies, and procedures in performing payroll processing and invoicing for customer contracts
• Gathers, arranges, and inputs payroll data correctly and timely
• Ensures reports are balanced and records are appropriately maintained
• Performs weekly and monthly billing processing for several divisions
• Creates several reports using Excel and makes sure all records are correctly maintained
• Ensures accurate records of payroll by carrying out regular system updates in areas like status changes, benefits deductions, time-off accruals, and tax withholdings
• Processes garnishments, child support orders, any other involuntary deductions for appropriate deduction and payment
• Processes new hire paperwork
• Reviews and reconciles statements and weekly payroll reports
• Complies with company internal controls
• Maintains files and documentation accurately per company policy and/or government regulation

Secondary Duties:

• Assists with projects and/or audits as required
• Works with all management and company personnel as required to process documentation
• Keeps the company’s information confidential
• Assists in receptionist duties as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications: What You’ll Bring to the Team

• High school diploma
• Three (3) years prior experience working in an accounting or payroll department
• Must be highly organized and have strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Superior spreadsheets skills and a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must
• Previous experience with office procedures
• Previous experience with Microsoft Office
• Must be able to meet all physical requirements of the position
• Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations
• Be at least 18 years of age, or 21 if CDL is required
• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred:

• Associates Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• Project Management Experience
