The StudyPro (www.TheStudyPro.com) is looking for individuals who have a:
– MASTER’s or PhD in SPECIAL EDUCATION or SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGISTS

– with experience as special educators, learning specialists, and/or EXECUTIVE FUNCTION (EF) COACHES to provide 1:1 Executive Function Coaching.

THIS POSITION REQUIRES SOME HOURS IN-PERSON AT OUR MCLEAN, VA LOCATIONS

We are looking for individuals who are available to coach students to support them with improving their Executive Function and Study Skills. Coaches help students build these skills, provide after-session notes, and speak with parents as required.

We will find the students, do all billing, and also work with you to become familiar with our center processes.

POSITION PAY: $50/hour

POSITION OBJECTIVES:

The StudyPro EF Coaching Goals are to:

·* Coach to Academic Independence* – We offer 1:1 Coaching to improve Executive Function / Study Skills (see https://thestudypro.com/study-skills-coaching-2/).

We are looking for skilled professionals to help students learn how to manage their time, focus their attention, plan, prioritize, and — in some cases — manage their emotions/anxiety to develop new habits for learning.

· Align parents, teachers, stakeholders – Learning differences can be challenging for parents to understand. Our goal is to demystify student’s behaviors and help parents have more empathy for a student’s behaviors/actions. Our job is to help build student’s confidence and reduce parent’s anxiety through skill-building along with honest and open communication.

·* Coach to Organizational Independence* – Our goal is to build our student’s independence and master these skills over time.

POSITION LOGISTICS:

We are looking for individuals that:

· Have an M.Ed., Ph.D. and/or have extensive experience as a learning specialist or teaching students with learning differences.

· Can commit to AT LEAST 8 hours across weekdays and/or Sundays. The schedule can be flexible to meet your needs, however, we require consistent weekly times for availability so we can fill these hours with students. Please note that we ask coaches to be RELIABLY available weekly throughout the school year (except for major holidays).

· Are comfortable/experienced working with MS, HS and/or college students, have an understanding of technology and have strong writing skills. (We work with 4th – 12th graders).

· Have a willingness to participate in training (training is paid at $15/hour).

THIS POSITION REQUIRES A MINIMUM OF 5 HOURS IN-PERSON but can support as many as 20 hours in-person and/or remote (mixed).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $50.00 per hour
