The Sterling Choice Looking for Project Engineering Manager at Sheffield Full Time

12 Month Fixed Term Contract. 

Looking to speak to experienced engineering project managers who must have previous food experience and ideally working with chilled products.

The position is working for one of the UKs largest food manufacturing companies at one of their busiest sites. During this period of growth.

The site has gone from strength to strength over the recent years and as such are now in a position where they are looking to expand the current facility and install further production lines…. This is where you are needed…

• You will be working closely on site with the current engineering team, Site management, health and safety teams to ensure and deliver the next stage of development on site for business needs.
• As the right candidate, you will need to have experience in ensuring clear and common understanding of agreed objectives and standards from planning to execution while also being able to proactively manage end to end project implementation.
• You will be overseeing any external contractors or services brought into the business to help with the execution of this current work including budget control, resource budgets, control procedures and full reporting to all stakeholders.
• Seeking out engineering solutions for recognised manufacturing unit issues including capacity, efficiency, PD, Health and Safety, Hygiene, Technical, Environmental to ensure continuous improvement in the locations standards of performance

As the right candidate, you will have a background of delivering large-scale projects (any civils experience would be an added benefit). Ideally, this will be within the chilled sector or a minimum of bakery experience. You will have a recognised engineering qualification of minimum HNC or Apprentice trained. While also having necessary further knowledge such as using CAD software or similar, managing third party contractors and a formal health and safety qualification.

This position will need to be site based with an expectation to lead from the front so 4 / 5days a week on site is expected. The position is also not offering accommodation to be paid for so daily commute is essential.
