• Have a broad range of current industry experience; and
• Specialise in one or more of the following areas:
  • Light Vehicle Automotive
  • Engine Reconditioning
  • Toyota Network Training (TNT) program

Please note applicants need not necessarily possess teaching experience, as the right candidate may be trained and developed through coaching, mentoring and partnering. Importance is placed on possession of the appropriate qualifications, industry experience and the right attitude towards colleagues, clients and students.

To become a TAFE Queensland teacher you must hold one of the following qualifications:

• TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAEASS502* and TAELLN411*
• TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
• Diploma in Vocational Education and Training
• A higher level qualification in adult education

• For those holding a TAE40110 these two additional units are required to meet compliance requirements.

Salary
$78,267.86 – $88,599.22 gross per annum (TAFE Queensland Educators Certified Agreement 2019)

Benefits

• 36¼ hour working week (timetabled for 32 hours, comprised of 21 hours teaching time and 11 hours of administrative/preparation time)
• Paid overtime arrangements may be available as per operational requirements
• 4 weeks Recreation Leave (accrued annually)
• 5 weeks Non-attendance Time (NAT) offered annually for preparation
• 12.75% superannuation
• 17.5% leave loading
