About the Opportunity

The successful applicants will join our Wedgetail team to develop and test airborne and ground Electronic Support Measures software to intercept, identify, locate and analyse sources of electromagnetic energy for self-protection and operational planning.

This opportunity will see you:

• Design and develop software in accordance with the Wedgetail standards and processes
• Perform reviews and integration testing on software produced by team members
• Translate software requirements into formal test plans and procedures, and contribute to the production of other technical Software Engineering documentation
• Formally execute test procedures with Quality Assurance witness
• Conducting analysis into the cause of software failures
• Work will be conducted at BAE Systems at Edinburgh Parks, with off-site lab testing conducted at DSTG Edinburgh Parks.

As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you’ll have:

• C#, C and C++ software development, Java experience may count towards C#(essential)
• SQL Server database development
• Software Development for Windows (via Microsoft Visual Studio) and Linux
• Electronic Warfare principles desirable
• Integration and Test experience desirable
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Deep learning techniques and analytics desirable
• Hold Defence security clearance of NV1 as a minimum (highly desirable)
