Our Client
Established financial services institution which prides itself on its flexible and inclusive workplace. You will play a pivotal role in the design of this exciting digital initiative and be responsible for its evolving success.

A day in the life:

• Perform design and development of software solutions within the digital domain
• Develop operational and system support tools including documentation to enable effective maintenance and support of applications
• Contribute to the health of the code base by conducting effective code and process reviews
• Apply Agile frameworks, techniques and processes to deliver incremental value to areas of responsibility
• Provide estimates and contribute to sizing of backlog
• Work with stakeholders to define technical options and agree solutions, in line with the digital roadmap and architectural guidelines
• Accept ownership of the technical delivery and the learnings from supporting the solution
• Ensure system availability, reliability, stability, concurrency and recover-ability of applications
• Perform the design and development of software solutions according to development standards, with the goal of providing reliable, stable and operationally sound applications that meet business requirements
• Review code to deliver quality driven, robust and production ready code that is compliant and secure

Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience with integration of downstream, in-house, and vendor based systems.
• Experienced with CI/CD tools and concepts
• Strong experience in JAVA, Springboot, JPA, Messaging, Kafka, and open source technologies
• Proven experience in microservice and API development using event driven architecture
• Strong testing experience following TDD and BDD
• Front end skills React, GraphQL, Javascript (Desirable)
