The opportunity
We are searching for a Software Developer to join our team. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about developing software to support our clinicians and patients. The individual should have a clear focus on patient outcomes and experience in ensuring business requirements are understood and effective solution provided. In this role, you will be working in a small development and operations team based in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.

About you
This role would suit someone who has 3+ years of software development experience in C#, .NET Framework and MSSQL preferably in clinical applications.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Analyse and understand functionality to be delivered.
• Provide technical solutions in terms of code, design and industry best practices to ensure a quality product.
• Work closely with business analysts and application support officers to ensure development quality is of the highest standard.
• Develop unit test new code to ensure quality, and that program results are accurate.
• Review and repair legacy code.
• Participate in code review by peers and perform code review on peer work.
• Investigate and resolve software issues
• Analysis of current programs including performance, diagnosis, troubleshooting and resolution of defects.
• Work closely with the Application Support Team to isolate, reproduce and resolve defects.
• Document code consistently throughout the development process by code comments, special instructions, and any changes made in database tables on procedural, modular and database level.
• Establish and implement standards for effective maintenance and programming of technical systems.
