Public Sector People is proudly partnering with Brimbank City Council to appoint a Management Accountant within the Business Support department, Financial and Organisational Excellence Directorate. Reporting directly to the Coordinator Management Accounting, the role will have a clear mandate for fostering a business partnering approach with key stakeholders within the assigned Directorate to provide financial planning, analysis, operational and strategic financial advice and support including:
- Finance partnering
- Management accounting and performance reporting
- Preparation of the annual budget and long-term financial plan
- Continuous improvement
- Customer service and stakeholder engagement
To be considered for the role, you will hold appropriate level financial qualifications (Bachelors min), CPA/CAANZ qualified (or progressing to these), experience in business partnering, possess high level technical accounting skills, a clear understanding of financial reporting and systems. Working history in a similar role within Local Government/Councils will be preferred. Probity checks will be required. All interviews will be undertaken under the current COVID-19 Safety guidelines.
