Job description:

The position

The primary objective for this role, as part of the Financial Control team, is to service the Wealth & Capital Markets (W&CM) Platform, by providing timely, accurate and commercially focused financial support for the assigned portfolios.

• Producing and analysing the performance of the assigned portfolios, including profit & loss, balance sheet and cashflow on a timely basis;
• Forecasts updated normally quarterly to meet business unit and Group requirements;
• Effective business unit performance reporting, sourced from the businesss financial systems, is in place and provided, where relevant, on a timely basis;
• Commercial Finance team members to assist in the understanding and management of the drivers of expenses, revenue and cash flows within the business of the assigned portfolios.
• Balance sheet account reconciliations properly performed and reconciling items cleared on a timely basis;
• Transactions recorded in accordance with accounting standards and Group policies;
• The allocations of transactions sourced from the procurement and payables system are materially correct and appropriate.
• Overall continuity of quality service from the W&CM Financial Control team;

About you

Your expertise and qualifications will include:

• CA or CPA qualified;
• More than 3 years accounting experience;
• Industry specific experience preferred.;
• Previous experience in management accounting and business performance reporting highly regarded;
• A sound understanding and experience with financial controls and processes
• Sound Microsoft Excel modelling skills together with a proficiency in a range of financial software and accounting systems (eg. SUN, TM1 and Blackline).
• Ability to work methodically with attention to detail;
• Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
