The Staffing Group Hiring for Financial Analyst (part-time) Job at Melbourne Full Time

Collaborate with our friendly team of lawyers and the wider BlueRock divisions including our referrers and clients.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised and proactive, with excellent relationship-building and communication skills, strong attention to detail and a strong commercial approach. This brand new, part-time (15-22 hours per week) opportunity reports to our CEO and Managing Director of Law and supports our growing Law practice through building epic financial models, measuring performance against KPIs and targets, quarterly outlooks and clearly communicating performance metrics.

What you’ll be doing:

• Owning our financial forecasts, projections and budgets whilst identifying areas of improvement and providing analytical commentary
• Educating and inspiring our lawyers on all things finance from budgets to planning to forecasts
• Creating financial models, pricing models, and make commercial recommendations to help us succeed
• Providing insights through the use of Spotlight reporting and Power BI
• With the support of our internal Financial Operations team, overseeing debtor management, cash flow and reconciliations

Day to day support is provided by an executive leadership team and its corporate services staff as part of a dynamic, fun Melbourne CBD office that includes a number of co-located clients.

Requirements

We want to hear from people who have:

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, commerce or other relevant qualification (CPA or CA highly desirable)
• 7+ years experience working in a similar role (professional services experience highly desirable)
• Exposure to the legal industry and experience working with trust accounts and auditors highly beneficial
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modelling
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with a proactive approach
• Ongoing work rights, we are not able to consider temporary graduate visas or working holidays
