The Staffing Group Hiring for Financial Accountant – Remote working Job at Melbourne Full Time

Our client is Australian owned and operated, they are a private equity investment firm focused on lower-middle market buyouts, consolidations and turnarounds. They are in a growth period and looking to bring on a Financial Accountant to look after their company books and a small portfolio of clients.

They have added two new business to to their investment portfolio in the construction and manufacturing industry and are continuing the search for business growth opportunities.

As the Financial Accountant you will be reporting to the Founder and be responsible for:

• Month end process including financial reporting and proving commentary on the variance analysis
• Payroll process and accounting for 3 entities (approx.120 staff)
• Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register
• Reconciliation of balance sheet items including prepayments, accruals and leave liabilities
• Provide assistance with corporate compliance (e.g. BAS, Payroll tax, FBT, Workers comp, ABS and treasury)
• Accounts payable and receivable
• Ad hoc tasks, all things finance related

The successful candidate will hold a qualification in Accounting. You will have experience working in an environment where you have processed payroll end-to-end and been the go-to finance professional. You will have strong commercial acumen, self-motivated, a can-do attitude and excellent communication skills.
