We are working with commercial construction company who have proven themselves as a leader in their field over the past 65 years. With their roots strongly embedded in the Albury Wodonga area and multiple offices across NSW, they are now looking for a down to earth Accountant to join their team.

After many years in operation, they continue to remain a privately owned family business supported by a loyal, professional and local team who take pride in supporting their community and surrounds.

So, about the role:
This role is your bread-and-butter accounting. Youll be working across the 15 companies and trusts where youll be taking full ownership of trail balances, monthly BAS, preparing reports, managing accounts payable / receivable as well as end of month preparation/analysis.

With a new CFO soon to be appointed and their incumbent still involved within the company at board level, you will have the opportunity to have the professional support and mentorship to assist with your ongoing development.

The Finance team consists of the four relaxed and committed characters who will all come together to support one another and the bigger picture of the business. Youll also be strongly supported by the Finance Team whilst finding your feet in the role.

You will be liaising with Project Managers across the company, so communication is key along with the ability to develop solid relationships. Youll bring the nous and emotional intelligence to push back on requests to focus on deadlines.

Ideally you will have three to five years experience in accounting and in a perfect world you would be CA or CPA qualified, however not necessarily a requirement.

You might be coming from a background within in public practice and looking to transition into more of a wholistic accounting role.
