Travel expenses will be compensated at the beginning and end of the assignment and self-contained accommodation will be supplied for the full duration.

All positions are to commence as soon as possible, and all applicants must hold a current C Class Drivers Licence.

Administration Officer (Housing & HR)

Duration: 2-3 months

Requirements:

• Sound experience in a full range of administrative functions including the preparation of correspondence and formatting of reports and documents;
• Previous experience providing support within the Housing and / or HR areas within Local Government;
• High level of discretion and experience in maintaining confidentiality when dealing with confidential matters;
• Well-developed organisation skills with strong attention to detail; and
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Executive Assistant to the CEO

Duration: 2-3 months

Requirements:

• Previous experience in an administrative role supporting a senior executive, preferably within Local Government;
• Experience in correspondence management, agenda preparation, recording of minutes, managing multiple diaries, file management, coordinating meetings and corporate travel management;
• High level computer skills with demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office products; and
• Possess effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with a sound problem-solving ability.

Creditors Officer

Duration: 3-6 months

Requirements:

• Sound knowledge of accounting practices including accounts payable, cash receipting, procurement and banking procedures;
• High level of numeracy skills, including the ability to use formulas for basic accounting based calculations;
• Demonstrated ability in the use of computer-based accounting systems specifically SynergySoft, would be highly regarded;
• Minimum of one year experience in a similar role undertaking accounts payable processing;
• Certificate III Business Administration or related finance / accounting discipline would be highly regarded.
