The role:

OzChild is a leading child welfare organisation committed to improving the lives of at-risk children, young people and families in our community for nearly 170 years. We are searching for a Contract maximum term full time Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance and Planning team; you will be covering a period of 10 weeks. You will be work from home for the duration of your contract.

What you will do:

• Generating the Accounts Payable weekly payment runs
• Help process foster care payments
• Petty cash
• Assisting with end of month processes and the reconciliation of credit cards
• Ensuring all invoices and cheque requisitions are registered accurately
• Liaising with suppliers to handle accounts payable queries

Who we are looking for:

• Previous experience within an Accounts Payable role
• Ability to work flexibly and importantly interact with and engage with other team members.
• Collaboration, ideally experienced within the NFP sector or the ability to learn and adapt
• Tertiary qualification in business or finance or the equivalent level of training, experience &/or education will be highly regarded but not essential
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel & Great Plains
• Experience in Account Payable automation systems beneficial (but not essential)
• Experience using software and accounting systems
• Use of Great Plains desirable
