The Role

Reporting to the Manager Corporate & Community, you will be responsible for a varied workload, including:

• Preparation of financial statements and commentary for management, the CSV Board and Sub-committees, as well as meeting ACNC and other governing and statutory obligations, including submission of GST and FBT related returns
• Invoicing, receipting and the preparation of month-end reconciliations as well as monitoring and reporting on YTD Actual v Budget performance
• Monitoring the internal control systems, including reviewing associated policies and procedures, in conjunction with the Audit, Finance and Risk Committee
• Budgeting and forecasting to support the annual planning cycle
• Completing the annual auditing process with an external auditing firm
• Administering the fortnightly payroll and associated processes and payments (PAYG, superannuation etc.)
• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Preparation of CSV Board Pack, Audit, Finance and Risk Papers and Crime Stoppers Australia reports

The current salary range identified is $75,000 – $80,000 per annum, plus superannuation. Crime Stoppers Victoria will negotiate a salary commensurate with experience.

Your Skills and Experience

• A tertiary qualification in accounting is essential
• Relevant accounting experience of at least two years
• Demonstrated knowledge of Xero
• Extensive Excel skills
• Exceptional organisational and communications skills
• Professional accounting designation preferred (CPA/ CA/ IPA or equivalent)
• Experience working within the not-for-profit sector would be desirable
