The Staffing Group Hiring for Accountant | Construction Company Job at Melbourne Full Time

Our client is in the construction sector with projects ranging from commercial, to residential as well as sports and recreation. Our client prides themselves on innovative results and are currently seeking an experienced Accountant. The role will be reporting into the Finance Manager and will be responsible for a range of responsibilities.

You will be an organised and business minded individual with experience working in the construction or property development industry in an accountant role, with relevant qualifications.

Your daily duties will include:

• Managing and overseeing the preparation of monthly financial reports
• Preparing and managing BAS reporting
• Assisting with annual audit requirements and insurance renewals
• Managing the Fringe Benefits Tax reporting obligations
• General business accounting and taxation

To be successful for the role you will have the following attributes:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and either CPA or CA qualified or completing
• Experience in the construction industry highly regarded
• Experience using CHEOPS highly regarded
• High attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Excellent time management and prioritising skills
