Summary of Position
Title: Curriculum Specialist
Principle Functions: The LifeGuard Curriculum Specialist (CS) will oversee the development, update, and evaluation of the LifeGuard curriculum and facilitator training. The CS will focus on instructional design, curriculum updates, and project management. The CS will work closely with teams and personnel responsible for executing a blended learning approach with e-learning content, distance learning, and traditional facilitator led instruction. This is not a managerial position; CS will be solely responsible for development of curriculum and advise Program Director of other personnel and software needed to execute primary job functions. The CS is expected to work with a fair amount of independence, but within the goals and objectives established by the LifeGuard Program Director.
Primary focus will be on updating the LifeGuard curriculum in compliance with TEKS standards for the 2022 school year. Secondary focus will be on transitioning curriculum to an e-learning platform.
Qualifications:
· Agreement with and adherence to The Source’s Statement of faith
· Strong commitment and dedication to the pro-life position and sexual abstinence
· Bachelor’s Degree in education, social sciences, instructional design, or related field
· 2-3 years of experience as a curriculum developer
· Strong knowledge of learning principles, theories and methodologies
· Experience with Prezi presentations
· Exhibit excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills
· Be self-motivated, dependable, and responsible
· Work well in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
· SRAS Certification through ASCEND
· Experience meeting multiple agency state education standards, especially (Texas Education Knowledge and Skills)
· Experience facilitating Sexual Risk Avoidance or Sex Education curriculum
· Experience working with Learning Management Software
· Experience reporting and measuring effectiveness of curriculum in adolescent and adult learners
· Experience managing concurrent projects and process improvement efforts
· Successful record of building effective learning experiences in the form of websites, just in time solutions, infographics, and video
Number of Hours: Contract to hire. Contracted through September 2022. No weekends or evenings required.

Reports to: LifeGuard Program Director
Responsibilities
· Manage curriculum revisions and development for the LifeGuard program in compliance with state, federal, and sexual risk avoidance guidelines in a timely manner
· Create and revise materials for implementation, facilitation, and evaluation
· Create the strategic direction and implementation of the learning development strategy, framework, methodologies, technologies, and supportive processes for all LifeGuard curriculum
· Lead projects through the design lifecycle from scoping, research and analysis, design, development, launch, and evaluation; providing clear timelines and communication through all phases
· Implement and analyze feedback from all stakeholders to inform the revision and development process
· Create and oversee Curriculum Advisory Team
· Make programming, training, and role-specific Individual Learning Plan recommendations to meet the business needs of the program
· Stay up to date with research, emerging data & trends, and industry standards
· Maintain Sexual Risk Avoidance certification
