Summary Of Duties And Responsibilities
This position will primarily work within The Smith Center’s CARE Project – Compassionate Arts Remaking Education – in collaboration with select Clark County School District (CCSD) schools. The CARE Project is a theater education program, developed by the Cleveland Play House Theater in Cleveland, Ohio. CARE is driven by lessons from social-emotional learning theories, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based literacy learning for students in grades K-8.
The Smith Center’s CARE Project is grant-funded through a partnership with the Cleveland Play House. Teaching Artists hired to work in the CARE Project will be full-time 12-month team members of The Smith Center assigned to work in select CCSD schools during the school year with additional responsibilities for education programming at The Smith Center when schools are not in session. Only the first 12 months of the position are guaranteed as the continuation of the CARE project would be contingent upon further review and evaluation of the grant.

Pay Transparency

The base annual salary range for this full-time and exempt position is $46,380 plus benefits, including insurance plans as applicable. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and scope of responsibilities. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by key factors such as work experience, job-related skills, and relevant education and training.
