• Partner with local families and communities. Provide 5-day/week, 24- hour college preparatory education to students.

Position Overview

The SEED Network seeks a Talent Recruitment Manager to provide direct staff recruitment and selection support to schools across the SEED Network. This position will work closely with heads of school, Principals, hiring managers, and human resources staff to attract, choose, and retain outstanding educators and dedicated professionals. In partnership with the SEED Schools and The SEED Foundation, the Talent Recruitment Manager will be responsible for managing and executing efficient and effective recruitment and selection processes, developing innovative ideas for increasing the pipeline of quality candidates, participating in outreach and recruitment activities, and supporting schools with efforts to retain high performing staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work closely with SEED schools, The SEED Foundation, and external stakeholders to identify high quality teaching talent and educators across the country.
• Cultivate relationships with identified talent, both individuals, as well as pipelines of talent.
• Perform strategic and broad outreach, including attending career fairs and other recruitment events; post jobs, manage advertisements, and support logistics and planning of fairs.
• Partner with hiring managers and human resources staff to enhance or develop efficient and effective selection process and tools for instructional and non-instructional positions.
• Manage recruitment information and data.
• Conduct application review and virtual interviews in a timely manner.
• Manage application and selection process to ensure that all candidates move through in a timely manner with a consistent, positive experience.
• Manage systems to track contacts made through cultivation, progress to date, and next steps.
• Track each contact to ensure thorough and efficient stewardship by:
• maintaining close communication with high quality candidates.
• securing interest and applications of high-quality candidates.
• Track metrics related to recruiting (e.g., candidates yielded by each source, time to

hire, etc.) to evaluate various strategies and improve hiring efficiency.

• Assist in developing short- and long-term recruitment calendars, strategies, and programs to attract and select a strong, diverse team across the SEED Network.
• Assist in developing relationships with key partner organizations (e.g., national associations, graduate schools, regional/national education stakeholders, traditional/alternative certification programs).
• Support SEED schools with identifying and retaining high-performing employees.
• Develop evaluation tools and criteria for applications, phone interviews, and in-person and/or virtual interviews.
• Track and maintain comprehensive data as a source for developing and improving upon existing systems and procedures related to recruitment and retention.
• Collaborate with SEED schools and The SEED Foundation to ensure that school sites have thoughtful onboarding plans for new staff.
• Work with development/communications team to develop high quality recruitment materials.
• Support human resources team with new hire on-boarding, exit interviews and retention initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies

The Talent Recruitment Manager will possess the following:

• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience, with at least 2 years of teaching experience at the secondary level.
• Immediate understanding of what effective teaching looks like and a deep commitment to rigorous instruction and high-quality education.
• Understanding of human capital best practices to recruit, select and retain great educators.
• Ability to navigate multiple priorities and be nimble within an entrepreneurial environment.
• Prior experience in collaborating with and presenting to a diverse group of stakeholders at all levels of an organization, and to consistently display a high level of professionalism in all interactions.
• Experience leading in a fast-paced environment; adaptable when managing multiple, shifting priorities; ease at managing competing demands and determining priorities independently.
• Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and manage projects with a high degree of accuracy and limited direction.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate clearly and concisely.
• Strong computer and technology skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, familiarity with Google docs, and interest in and ability to learn new platforms. Experience with human resources information systems (HRIS).
• Strong judgment and collaborative decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations associated with recruitment and hiring practices.
• Team-player capable of working both collaboratively and independently.
• Customer focused approach, interpersonal flexibility, and ability to multi-task.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
