The key purpose of the HR People Advice and Wellbeing Team is to empower and build capability in our leaders, managers and staff to enable them to create the culture where that ambition can be embraced and delivered. The team provides dedicated HR support and advice to colleagues across the organisation to ensure fair and consistent treatment, with a focus on wellbeing and on the resolution of issues as the earliest possible opportunity.
The team focuses on ensuring that the SG employee experience is a positive one which takes into account individual circumstances, the Fair Work principles and the ambitions of the SG. There are circa 30 staff in the HR People Advice and Wellbeing team supporting a diverse range of business areas across various locations throughout Scotland.
Qualifications Required
To apply for this post you must have a CIPD qualification or willingness to work towards.

Essential Criteria
1. Evidence of excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build trust and strong working relationships with individuals and groups at all levels across the organisation.
2. Evidence of analysing information, outlining options and making recommendations based on evidence, legislative requirements, policy requirements and best practice.
3. Evidence of excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure to meet deadlines and to respond quickly to new demands or competing tasks.
4. Evidence of improving business processes, embracing and promoting change in collaboration with others.
