We are currently seeking applications for Finance Officers within the Finance Department based in Dundee. These are permanent and pensionable appointments and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. We are recruiting two enthusiastic Finance Officers to be part of the Benefit Accounting and Forecasting team based in Dundee.
This role is in the Corporate Finance branch within Finance and Corporate Services Division.
This is an exciting new opportunity in a high-profile and stimulating area, with continuing political, public and media interest. You will be at the forefront of work to deliver one of the Scottish Government’s key priorities: delivering a stronger and fairer Scotland.
Social Security Scotland is split across two main locations, the headquarters in Dundee with Glasgow the other main location.
Qualifications Required
For jobs in Band B & C you must hold a minimum of 3 Highers or equivalent or relevant experience.

Essential Criteria
1. Strong numerical and analytical skills, able to draw out key findings or recommendations from a range of data or information sources.
2. Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive and effective working relationships.
3. The ability to work on your own with minimal supervision, alongside managing your own workload and competing priorities.
4. An ability to work effectively in a changing environment, demonstrating flexibility, to enable and support your team to overcome challenges.
