You will play a key role in facilitating and coordinating all aspects of Governance, in an administrative capacity, ensuring deadlines and targets are met. You will also provide administrative support to the existing Education team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated candidate who has the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team; liaising both internally and externally with clinical and non-clinical staff.
The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of the NHS Governance agenda, a strong ability to problem solve and demonstrable administrative / IT skills.

To participate in the Directorate Governance meetings (and other related meetings) within the Directorate/Division.
To be the department liaison for the Divisional Governance Officer ensuring information, guidance or actions are disseminated to the appropriate department leads.
To organise and support the Governance Meetings preparing the agenda, paperwork required and presentations, taking minutes and ensuring the agenda and minutes comply with Trust standards.
To drive forward the H&S agenda across all areas within the department working closely with all H&S departmental representatives monitoring incident trends etc. To inform the departmental leads of any health and safety concerns that are raised.
To complete and review all risk assessments from H&S perspective alongside the Health and Safety representatives, uploading updated versions to share-point, and support completion of risk assessments across the Directorate.
To support the SUI investigations process, ensuring deadlines are achieved; all lessons learned are presented at respective governance meetings and ensuring all actions are completed with evidence of completed actions uploaded to Datix.
To coordinate the review of the Risk Register with departmental leads, ensuring all information is accurate, up to date and uploaded to Datix.
To co-ordinate review of the business continuity and major incident plans with departmental leads and ensure updated copies are uploaded to Sharepoint.
To review and update the department Intranet site ensuring data is appropriate, up-to-date and accurate.
To support the Audit leads to ensure the annual audit programmes are completed as planned and update the Trust audit database as required.
To assist with the coordination and completion of both Trust required and department specific clinical audits.
To assist with the development and delivery of departmental education and training activities; ensuring training records are updated both locally and on the Trust database where required.
To maintain efficient and effective lines of communication between departments, work colleagues and external partners.
To deal positively and promptly with internal and external enquiries both telephone and personal liaising with staff as appropriate, making decisions and taking independent action where appropriate.
