Job Summary: The Interventionist-Teacher will support teachers in the continuous improvement process in all core academic areas (Math/Science/ELARW and Social Studies). The Interventionist-Teacher will be responsible for efficiently and effectively managing the intervention and instruction of students. The job of an Interventionist-Teacher will plan, implement and evaluate the instructional program with specific responsibility for the assessment remediation of at-risk students’ needs for Response to Intervention (RTI /RtI)) services; implementing the RtI program strategies; monitoring and ing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1.
Planning, and facilitating direct services, for students to be appropriately and meaningfully included during core classes.
2.
Develop planning and organizing instructional duties and activities. Maintains awareness of goals and objectives for students.
3.
Analyzing data to understand student(s) needs and determine instructional focus during an intervention.
4.
Implements student tutoring component of academic program through one-to-one and/or small group tutoring, or other approaches as directed.
5.
Collecting and analyzing frequent progress monitoring data in order to assist with determining instructional decisions.
6.
Facilitating progress monitoring reviews with building teams or professional learning communities to respond to student data.
7.
Serving as an integral part of a problem-solving team at the building level.
8.
Demonstrated knowledge of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) in the four core content areas
9.
Demonstrated effectiveness in providing current and innovative researched-based instructional practices
10.
Demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional manner both orally and in writing
11.
Outstanding organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
12.
Communicates student progress and provides information for program evaluation. Collaborate with individual students and their parents to develop an individual success plan for each student in his or her classroom.

Up-to-date on researched-best practice that results in increased student performance and achievement
s to the assigned area in a timely manner, recognizing the importance of following a fast- paced schedule.
15.
Maintains accurate student RTI records for program and compliance audits, compiles s & oversees progress monitoring and universal screening.
16.
Maintains, submits, and meets deadlines of required paperwork, including data entry.
17.
Attends and contributes to regularly scheduled professional development meetings to share and discuss ideas, strategies, and materials related to RTI.
18.
Assist with the preparation of STARR testing.
19.
A willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year, accredited university. Master’s Degree preferred.
Certification: NCLB, Highly qualified valid Texas Teaching Certificate as required by teaching assignment or acceptance to approved Alternative Certification Program and results of TEXes exam. Preferred
Work Experience: 1 to 3 years of teaching experience.
Competencies: Proficiency in oral and written English and strong interpersonal communication skills required. Computer data entry skills.
Equipment Used: Microsoft Office, Eduphoria, Office equipment (e.g., computer, copier). General Knowledge of accounting procedures, district policies, and school law.
Working/Environmental Conditions/Mental Demands/Physical Demands: Ability to work effectively in a prescribed instructional setting and an ability to operate in fast-paced, complex settings while maintaining a high degree of organization and efficiency required.
FUNDING SOURCE:
This position is funded through September 30, 2024, under the federal ARP ESSER III grant. Continuation of the position beyond that date is contingent upon available funding.
ARP ESSER III-funded positions may perform no duties outside the intent of the ARP ESSER III program.
