Deputy Package Manager – HS2

Excellent opportunity to work for one of the main consultancies delivering the design and technical delivery in to HS2.

Salary – £48,000 – £53,000 basic + Package

Locations – London

Role Description

Working for the consultancy partner for HS2 based on the London tunnels and delivery of the Southern part of HS2. This role is supporting the Design Package Manager in the technical document submission and internal coordination.

With over 4 billion pounds of work being delivered across 3x key areas of London there needs to be cohesive communication and processes in place. Managing the detailed design as well as each sub-asset according to changes that occur. Reviewing the technical documents prior to presentation to the client. Then updating the internal systems and ensuring this is communicated across the project.

Keeping the systems updated are vital for a project of this size, this means regular reviews, preparation and monitoring of formal communications with the client. You will be participating in the preparation of documents such as: Operations & maintenance, Interface register, Project reports, Design review plan and the Design drawing register.

The project has another 6 years until completion with set training and development plans in place for internal progression in to a full Design Package Manager.

Required Experience

• Degree qualified, Ideal in Civil engineering or related subject.
• Post-graduation experience of both design and site based working.

This is a great role for someone interested in moving away from hands on Design. Having a taste of site based design coordination and looking to develop your career in to Design Management.
