We are seeking a Higher Educational Sales Consultant to create a new pipeline of postsecondary schools that need help in establishing strong online programs. This role requires someone who has deep cold calling experience, enjoys being on the phone for hours each day, understands how to navigate the startup environment, work with founders and drive conversations.

This role is for a hunter. If you love talking on the phone, generating connections with complete strangers and securing time on their busy schedule, this challenge is for you. If you frequently review your strategy, ask for feedback to sharpen your skills, love using new technology, figuring things out and want to be in a startup that has been growing for several years and needs people with a fire in their belly, you’ll do great here.

This opportunity is for someone who has spoken to many high level executives, called them when they weren’t expecting it and created a conversation. This person is sharp, witty and comfortable with pressure. The person hired for this role thrives on knowing that their team relies on them to bring new conversations to the table & the company into tomorrow.

As a Higher Education Sales Consultant, you will nurture current deals and foster new ones through outbound calls and some email / LinkedIn communication. You will research current prospects, identify decision makers, generate interest by speaking with key contacts, schedule meetings with stakeholders and bring incredible value to every conversation you have.

You will be the voice of the company to schools across the country – from initial contact through closing. You will be an integral part of the buildout of a pipeline and generating interest from scratch.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing an existing pipeline of schools & developing new business

• Meeting with presidents, directors & CEOs of schools to discuss their online programs, ROI, growth strategy and other key metrics.

• Share action reports of what the current deal pipeline looks like each week

• Ensure timely and seamless communication with schools & leadership

• Take lead in the development of proposals, presentations & materials to nurture business opportunities

• Identify trends & customer needs, build and nurture your pipeline with short/medium/long term goals to hit your targets

• Assist the onboarding team in new client implementation

• Help negotiate deals as needed

• Achieve quarterly and annual targets

RESULTS

• 5-7 meetings per week with prospective clients

• Generate weekly and quarterly reports on your activity/pipeline

• All leads are documented within the CRM and properly managed throughout the pipeline

• Qualified deals are presented to leadership team on a weekly basis

• Assist in the build out of new marketing materials, pitch decks, etc

REQUIREMENTS

• Cold calling & emailing foundation required

• Track record in executive presentations & deal negotiation

• Deep inside sales experience

• Proficient at digital tools – Zoom, Hubspot, social media & dialers preferred

• Worked in a startup & ready to build the plane as it’s flying

• Frequently reviews calls to improve talk tracks

• Ability to work from a call framework / cheat sheet

• Ability to adapt to changes quickly

• Professional communication skills & EQ

• Incredible follow-up skills

The base pay band for this position is 55-75k with on-target earnings of $147,500 per year.
