The Proud Trust delivers youth work and one-to-one support across Greater Manchester and Cheshire, as well as a number of projects benefiting young people. The charity also runs national and regional networks; a national training and inclusion programme for schools; a national digital help service and manages The Proud Place, the LGBT+ Centre for Manchester. We are committed to the safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults.
We are seeking a motivated, skilled, professional and reliable person with experience in management and education. You will have a good working knowledge of LGBT+ identities and young people, and be able to positively and confidently manage and support a team to convey this information through a variety of training courses, educational resources and other services to the wider youth sector including through schools. This post comes at a significant time of growth of our LGBT+ awareness training offer, both regionally and nationally.
Working collaboratively within the current training team and other departments, the Training and Education Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of The Proud Trust training and schools offer, including delivery of LGBT+ awareness training, Rainbow Flag Award to NW schools and organisations, the LGBT+ Groups in Schools Alliance, and the development of needs-led pioneering, innovative and bold LGBT+ inclusion educational resources. The post holder will have an income generation target through the sales of our offer. All work seeks to improve the spaces where LGBT+ young people are, whilst contributing positively to the organisations aims and values.

Successful applicants will need to be legally allowed to work in the UK, will need to undertake an enhanced DBS check, and will need to provide references.
The 37.5 hour weekly contracted hours, usually Monday to Friday during office hours, with the possibility of flexible working from home arrangements. Some other flexibility will also be required including occasional weekend and evening work.
