TPH is seeking an Imaging Specialist to join our team in the Newmarket, ON.

As an Imaging Specialist, you are key to the successful printing of our customers’ digital products. Before starting each project, you select substrates based on what the client has requested. You complete the colour calibration of the press and add special layers for spot UV varnishes as well as white, metallic silver, and metallic gold inks. As you operate the press, large format devices, custom apparel devices, custom label devices and flat-bed devices, you enjoy creating high-quality final prints. Your attention to detail is essential as you review work orders for accuracy, completeness, and quality control. When unexpected challenges arise, you utilize your innovative-problem solving skills to troubleshoot and consult teammates to find solutions. How you will make an impact

• Performing regular colour calibration processes on the output devices
• Maintaining substrate inventories and notifying manager when stock needs to be ordered
• Recommending best substrates for desired outcome
• Checking registration, bleeds and crop marks are ok
• Performing preventative maintenance on the output devices
• Ensuring that all orders are high quality and ready for next steps in accordance with the work order
• Supporting other departments where and when possible

Required Skills you bring…

• Experience with Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Solid experience working with pantones, CMYK, and RGB colour spaces
• Ability to colour correct on the fly
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Experience using large format printers and DFEs such as Fiery, and Onyx
• Processing/Preparing files for print on several large/grand format printers.
• Operation of Zund Cutter and packaging
