Portage Mutual Insurance is looking for dynamic individuals who are proficient in defining requirements for solutions with respect to existing/legacy and new systems, as well as emergent technologies and innovation. The candidate must have the ability to effectively work both independently as well as a member of a large local or virtual team across diverse departments.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct analysis, design and documentation of both system and business requirements for application enhancements and projects.
• Participate in requirement sessions with business and system teams.
• Communicate system solutions in business and technical terms.
• Collaborate with multiple functions to ensure quality software.
• Create test plans and estimates inclusive of evaluating and providing analysis on requirements documentation and identifying key areas of testing.
• Identifies, prioritizes, escalates and contributes to the resolution of business system defects and enhancements, project issues and mitigation of project risks.
• Follow established practices, processes and guidelines.
• Participate in data analysis and corrections

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Insurance industry knowledge and experience
• Experience in working in a regulated environment
